O/T A new life!

Postby Bev G » Sun Aug 02, 2015 9:50 am

Hi All,

This is truly an amazing day for us. In 2010 my son Daniel (who was my primary caretaker when I was so sick, and an all-around awesome man) married our wonderful daughter-in-law Chelsie. They moved up their marriage by 2 years so I could be there. I was not expected to live at that point. Their wedding day was the first time I'd been out of the house (and pretty much out of bed) other than doctor appointments, hospital stays and chemo for a year. I am eternally grateful I was able to be at their wedding. Today (probably right now as I type this) they are bringing a new life into the world. Baby Louise is being born by Cesarean because she's breech. I am awestruck by the reality of my "baby" becoming a father today. He's most certainly the best thing that ever happened to me, and I am overjoyed. Just wanted to share. it was SO unlikely I would be here today.

Best wishes to all,

Bev

Congrats Bev! It is a milestone when your last child has their first child. :D I had that experience in Feb 2015 when my last child (arriving 11 years after his siblings) had his first child, a baby boy.

To many more years of watching grandchildren grow.
