Helen Needs Our Good Wishes

Postby Val*pal » Sun Aug 02, 2015 9:08 am

Helen, long-time caregiver and wife to Pam, was recently diagnosed with colon cancer as well. As you may recall, her beloved Pam succumbed to colon cancer less than two years ago.

I cannot imagine how difficult this must be for her, and I just wanted to let our CC community know that she had her resection late this past week and is waiting the results from pathology. I'm sure she's in need of as much support as possible.

Helen, I hope you're up and walking, and things get moving so that you're discharged home soon. Considering what you have been through as a caretaker to your wife, it's not fair that you're now facing the same issue. I hope that this forum can continue to be a support to you, and that the Pathology report comes quickly, so that you can start to formulate a plan.

Also sending you a big hug!

Helen, Your care for Pam touched many of us on this board. May you have good news from your pathology report and a quick recovery from your resection. No matter what this board is here for you like you were for Pam. Lois

Helen, I have been thinking of you and wish you all the best. We are pulling for you.
Went in for surgery for a cyst on my bladder, and they found colon cancer growing on the outside of the colon. Got to have two surgeries at the same time! Stage 3, one node involved.
