Happy Mother's Day to everyone. Mother's Day is sad for me because my mother passed away 4 years ago and I haven't seen my son in many years because he lives with his Dad. My boyfriend's mother might be coming down today which would be nice.

Thanks rwightman. I'm sorry you lost your mother as well. I'll try to enjoy myself. My asthma has been flaring up really bad lately. I'm hoping to see my doctor soon.

I hope all of you moms to kids and furbabies are enjoying your day. Being on a farm, mothers day always seems to come and go without much excitement as we are busy seeing. Just knowing that the kids appreciate me is all that I need. I am not a card person, too cheap, so am happy with a phone call. Had a nice chat with my mom today to let her know I love her. We kind of skip most of the holidays and pour it all into Christmas as that is the slowest time for farmers.

Last Mothers Day we were all reeling from the news of Kates' diagnoses. We were formulating game plans, making arrangements, and getting on our game, prepared for the fight to get her better. This Mothers Day there are Memorials of her everywhere...Angels, Mermaid flags, little reminders. Her candle burned all day for me. Most with a severe illness diagnosis are marking time on the calendar at this point, measuring progress or setbacks. I am grieving the loss of my world for over 7 months now. I don't know what it all means or how it fits. I only know I love her so much, and miss her even more. Love your Mothers, daughters and sons. Mothers, love your sons and daughters. We never know what a year will bring.
