Does anyone know if Eve is doing o'k?

I have left a private message in her box and she hasn't picked it up.
We have been corresponding since day 1 and it is not like
her to not pick up her mail

Hope she is just off somewhere enjoying life

Eve posted in late March into the POG topic as she was being POG tested and I asked her get back to us with any news.
Otherwise I have not heard from her.

I really miss "talking" to Eve. We have supported each other from the get-go!
I am considered Colonrectal cancer free, but unfortunately I have other "issues".
3 years out after completion of chemo for Colonrectal I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymph leukemia
and MDS (bone marrow failure) anemia caused by chemo?????
I also have chronic kidney disease caused by Chemo???

This is not to say that I am not enjoying life...I go to Florida for the winter each year
and try to just ignore all the medical problems. Reality bites at this time of year
because I am back in Canada and doing the rounds of Specialists at the cancer centre.

I am currently not being treated ....Chronic Lymph leukemia is not treated immediately
as there is no cure and the first approach is Watch and Wait (watch and worry). I will
eventually have to go through Chemo the trick is to find something that will not do
more damage than good.

Anyhoo I digress.....just wondering if anyone has heard from Eve. I am concerned
about her!!!

Hi Joy,
I am sorry that I did not responded to your e-mail as I have not been on the board lately. I am scheduled for surgery in the next few weeks and, frankly, I am scared. I will have an illiac node removed and it will be POG tested. The surgeon has given me some very good news; the surgery will take place with an intent of a cure, but the bad news is there are a few things that can go wrong and the surgery is 4 hours long. I am trying to calm myself down at this time, but I find it difficult.

Best wishes for the surgery Eve and REALLY hoping the POG testing will be a new bullet in the gun for you !!!!!
I am so happy you are in Vanc to be able to benefit from this !!!!
( PS: I emailed our Onc to thank him and congratulate the team on the POG success
…. BUTT he would not spill the beans on which drugs he had used )
