Perhaps you can see a lawyer who will give you a free consultation. I think many will do that. I think in a situation like yours, they can force your husband to pay for your attorney. Your husband deserted the marital home - not you - and you have no source of income other than him and are obviously in no condition to work at this time. There might also be some sort of local governmental help you can look into that can appoint an attorny for you - not sure what the laws are where you live. Please don't let him walk all over you and please don't allow him to intimidate you when you are sick. I had a friend who's husband left her because she had cancer and he "just couldn't take it anymore." He walked out on her right in the middle of everything. She was lucky and had family around - but she was also extra lucky and is a 10 year survivor! You can do this too. You have to keep calm (I know how hard that can be) and get a plan together with a good source of legal help. Good luck with your surgery and I will send lots of positive energy and healing thoughts your way. Hugs to you too! I wish you were a neighbor so I could help you. I was divorced and know how horrible it can be.

Hi, Mama,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having to deal with all this on the eve of your surgery. You WILL get through this, and he WILL get just what he deserves. I can't even imagine leaving my DW in the middle of this nightmare! I don't post much, but I'm here everyday. My thoughts will be with you in your recovery from surgery, and everyday.

Hopefully you are recovering (not sure what time zone you are in) and all went well with your surgery. Focus on recovery and then worry about dealing with that dumbass husband of yours.

I'm so sorry to hear your news and I hope surgery went well this morning. Just wanted to let you know that Arizona is a community property state. Basically. That means that you are entitled to half of everything. Please call a lawyer as soon as you are able. Do not agree to anything until you talk to a lawyer!!!

Hope your surgery went well and you are safely home recovering! I'm a big believer in karma, so hopefully it will bite your husband where it hurts most sometime in the near future.

Thank you everyone ! I'm home! Lots of pain! I have no family so hub took me to surgery.. And tells me he didn't love me for a long time on the car ride to my surgery. Seriously messed up ! No empathy I can't wrap my head around it! He should have told me when I was younger ! He is a piece of work! Time for me to heal ...in more ways than one !

Tear was worse than MRI was showing too some how it flapped under hip socket so it was hidden. I think I have some pins in there now too!

Ronni - first I want to wish you a pain free speedy recovery. I am just so ticked that you have to deal with the marital issues on top of your physical ones. I truly believe in Karma for those that abuse the hearts of others - and your hub has some major bad juju coming his way. I hope he at least ends up with a boil on his ass to start. (I'm usually a very peaceful soul ).

I hope you will mend quickly Ronni - heart and body. A hug or two to you.

Glad to hear you are home Ronni. I have a feeling that on top of all your soon to be ex's faults, he is a liar also. And trying his best to make you feel bad. What a jerk.

I've been doing some internet searching, and have found some stuff you may be interested in. I'll send it to you later in the week when you are feeling better. Get Better Soon Ronni. We're all pulling for you here at the CC.
