My +1 has to pay his own way, unfortunately.
Once you get accepted, NCI will pay your expenses to get there (but only yours).
I did have to pay my own way for the initial in-person screening. Flight + rental car.
BONUS for you--no pregnancy test! That was the big hold-up during my screening. They were holding out for blood-serum results (still don't know why) and it delayed my CT by about 3 hours. Everything else went pretty smoothly.
