I am deeply saddened to hear this news. Marc's writing was amazing and I so enjoyed reading the wisdom that flowed from his words. We, too, shared emails for a time and I was always touched by his graciousness. He was in the process of writing a book. Does anyone know what stage his book is at? I would love to read what he had to say. My dear Marc, rest in peace. You will be greatly missed.

Oh, Maia, so heartbreaking to hear this.
I can vividly remember the first time I read his blog, like Oneeyeddog said, in one run, I cried and laughed for a while after... The poetry, the humor, the depth, the rationality, the hope that ultimately transpired through... Brilliant writer, and a man I would really have liked to meet personally. I look at life, death, cancer, health care, in such more nuanced ways because of him. It's still amazing for me, how people that are physically so distant can touch us so deeply and so authentically...
I miss Marc.

After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the memories that we’ve shared in the forum of who have passed, this is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on, through us.
Lohidoc was along with Gaelen and Karmel, one of the finest brains on this board.
