I am SOOO hoping for good scan results for you. I am very glad for your husband as well; I hope he can appreciate how fortunate he is and start appreciating the support he has had through his ordeal.

Wow Bev, this is great news! You know, I had a good feeling right from the start that he would beat this and be ok. I don't know why but I just did. He must be pleased about returning to work at some stage in some aspect - he is a brilliant doctor and must have so much knowledge and expertise that other medical professionals could benefit from working with him.

All the best to you, dear Bev.

A hug for you xxxx

I, too, echo what Voxx said! I'm praying for the scan to be clean and the Lord's will be done. You're often in my prayers as is Steve. Hopefully, you guys can really enjoy the upcoming autumn in all its glorious color.

Hugs to you, dear friend ~

News on husband seems terrific; certainly better than would have been expected some months ago.
Hope your minor scare turns out to be of no consequence. Most of us are super vigilant about any minor deviation from perfectly smooth progress.

Hoping for good news with your scan Bev. Must agree with Voxx and the others. If Steve gets to out of hand we may need to introduce him to our collective fists.

Geez that sounds amazing! There really is something to this stem cell thing. Maybe he could go back to work doing research?

You will have to say more about you too.... what's with the CEA markers? When do you scan?

Sorry if I am repeating question here but I have been off site for a few days ...

Hello friends,

My scan yesterday was negative. My oncologist said I am "95% cured". I believe he said I will have ONE MORE SCAN in April, and one more visit with him then, and then I "will be done". I was zonked on Vitamin X, so I'm not totally clear on the whole thing, but my husband affirms this is what he said. The onc said my recurrence risk after five years is <1%. I am overwhelmed with weirdness today. Why me? I never, ever asked "why me" about getting cancer. Today I can't stop asking "why me" about having survived. I feel the cumulative grief of all the friends I have lost. I feel confused and unwell. All very, very strange. I'm going to take a bit of time and try to process this. Thank you all for your amazing support. I love you all.

I'm really glad things went well. Process everything, and do something you enjoy. Stay out of the kid's pot though, it's no longer legal for you
