On April 30th I had a reversal of my reversal done. I went back to a permanent bag. The dr was only able to give me a perm ileostomy. My stoma is very hard and strange shaped. It is sluffing off bloody tissue all the time. Bags are leaking one after another but that's a whole other situation....
My reason for writing is because ever since my surgery I have been having contraction "labor" like pains in my abdomen and stoma. They come and go but are consistent every time my stoma puts out. I've been on a full liquid diet, I'm not dehydrated. But barely eating anything. My last stoma never once cramped, in fact I could never feel it when it was "going" etc.
I'm still here in the hospital. They are drugging me up on diladid, toradol, Percocet, Valium, phenegren, zofran, simethicone. My dr just keeps feeling me that the meds should start to work and I should feel better. My spasm contractions are at least every 15 minutes. Can anyone help?
I'm in so much pain. It feels like either a blockage, or this stoma doesn't work.
