News about Anji (Larry's wife) 5th UPDATE

I've sent a message to Sarah Murphy, her daughter, letting her know that she has many friends here who are thinking about her and concerned, and asking Sarah to let us know how she is doing, if the path was OK, and anything we could pray specifically about (those of us who want to, of course). Haven't heard anything back from Sarah, also, no new information on Anji's page. The information re the pathology came second had from a friend of Sarah's just saying "I was glad to hear the path was OK"...so, not a lot of info. I hoping no news is good news.

Oh wow, I was just thinking about her the other day. I do not come on here as regularly as I used to, but I do check in from time to time, I just don't post much. I was thinking about all the ladies that traveled this journey with our husbands and she was one of the first that I started following. She was so strong and I can't believe that after all this, she has to face this even though it''s not cancer, (from the reading if its all correct) it is still very hard to go through; especially without your spouse.

Keep us posted if you hear anything more please.....

Thank you so much for posting this information about Anji! She is such a special lady and incredible caregiver. I have often wondered how she was doing as well as their beautiful children. I have thought of Jonah many times over this past year. My prayers are with Anji and her family. Please let her family know we are praying for them. She has had to face too much adversity in this life. I know her strong faith will carry her through.

I don't know why but Anji and Larry popped into my head the other day. Bev thank you for letting us know. Prays coming to her and her family. She has one challenging household to keep together. I think losing Larry took a lot out of her. I pray that she has strength left.

I found a friend of Anji's who looked like from a post that she knew more specifically what was going on with Anji. I had sent her a private message and just now got this response. I had told her about CC and that Anji had many friends here who were very concerned, and she gave her permission for me to post her message here. She included more personal information about herself that I am not sharing here, out of respect for her, but please DO NOTE that she has survived stage IV CC since 1997!!

Hi, Beverly, The pathology test did come back negative. Praising God for that! She did have a tumor but it was removed. After surgery she had a hematoma in the abdomen the next day & it had to be opened/drained. Then a few days later she had an aneurysm in the abdomen, it burst, they had to go in clean her out several times over a period of days. She has had high fever & pneumonia. They think they may have found pockets the infection is in & are going to do a scan to make sure before they take action. I think everyone is just stunned by how dreadful her situation has turned. She has been on a ventilator for many days. Yes, please, share this info with your club. Pray for a miracle. It breaks my heart seeing what they are going through. Anji and I have know each other for a long time. We've become a little closer over the past few years. I am also a colon/rectal cancer survivor since 1997. Stage 4. It was also in my lymph nodes. I had to have a resection done, over 1 year of chemo & a month of radiation.

Heavenly days above! Bless her heart. This is just so terrible. While I'm thrilled she doesn't have cancer, what she's going through is enough. I've been and will continue to pray for her and the kids.

Yeah, Gwen. It sounds like to me that Anji, even without cancer, is at a place where so many things could still go so wrong. The whole post-op pneumonia, sepsis thing is very terrifying. I am so thankful that her family has such a large and active support network at home.

Thank you so much for the update. Hopefully she can get through all of the setbacks and start healing from the main problem. Continued prayers are in order.

Poor Anji and family. This is so sad and almost unbelievable. I pray that she turns the corner soon. She is such a wonderful person and her family needs her.
