DX Jan 2010, at age 47
Feb - colon resection - 2/17 nodes positive
April - liver mets - Stage 4
3 months Folfox chemotherapy
August '10 liver resection and HAI pump
7 months chemo FUDR HAI and Folfiri systemic
NED since August 2010
Last treatment April 2011
HAI Pump removed Dec 2015

Yea, one of the fringe benefits of cancer treatment, for sure. I am beginning to think that the treatment from my husband's Hodgkins at 24 was the reason he got colon cancer. Kind of opposite of what this article is about but I am suspicious. Especially since his cancer was in the transverse colon and very possibly in the field of radiation when they did all of his scans for the Hodgkins. I read that SRC can be caused from radiation soooo......

He lived for another 35 years so I guess the trade off was worth it. Wish they had some followup for people though that could keep track of this sort of thing.
