:(

I know she's prepared for what will come, but still, I know none of us like this news. I'm hoping that Pat stays comfortable as long as possible, and that she knows how much she has done to provide accurate information and, with it, comfort, to so many people. I've always appreciated her frank and intelligent posts.

I'm so sad to hear this. Even knowing she was no longer receiving treatments, I still thought she would be fine for longer. I hope she's comfortable & I'll be praying for her.

I've been dreading hearing this
I always read her postings first. They were so informative, well written, and straightforward. I wish I could thank her for educating me and undoubtably many others. May her death be easy and pain free, as she wished it.

Man I wish there would be some sort of major breakthru in the treatment for this nightmare of a disease... I don't know how everyone else feels, but lately its been pretty tough to read so many posts with all the pain people are going through lately... maybe its like this all the time and I am just more sensitized to it right now, but its a struggle for me lately to hear so many people hurting so much.... I hope she is as comfortable as possible and gets through this ordeal as best she can...

Thanks for the update, Jaynee, even though it was news that could be expected, it's still somewhat of a bad surprise.

Yes, she has done so much for us here on the CC and elsewhere... and I'm very thankful.

My strongest thoughts for her and her family. Hope she will remain comfortable.

Thank you for this update on Pat. This is hard news even though she was so good about preparing us. I send lots of warmth and aloha to Pat and her family now. What a very difficult time for all of them with Pat's sister ill as well. I hope for peace.

Jaynee, thanks for letting us know. Along with all the others here, I'm sending Gaelen my strongest thoughts that she would be comfortable and able to continue to make her way through on her terms, not someone else's.
