I met Becca in Oct 2007 in Baltimore. She was such a special person. I am sorry for your loss - I hope it is some comfort that so many people loved her.

Although I never knew Becca personally, I followed her blog and sort of kept tabs on her on FB because her story in the colondar really stayed with me. I am so so sorry for this incredible loss, but thankful you are choosing to continue adding tidbits to her blog. She was a remarkable girl and I wish I had met her. My thoughts are with you.

I watched the memorial and immediately recognized it was at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. (For those in the Chicago area who are unfamiliar with the Old Town School, it's a truly unique and wonderful place; and worth checking out if you're a music lover.) I've been studying jazz guitar there for years.

What a beautiful ceremony, thanks for posting it. I make an annual donation to the Old Town School and my donation this year in honor of Rebecca.

While I did not have the privilege of meeting Rebecca in person, I do remember when she first came her. I will miss her. What I will always remember about her is her energy and her love for life. Her music and her dancing.

This disease took her life at a very young age. I pray someday they will find a cure. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry,
