It seems to be getting a little better every day. I keep hoping they made a mistake and maybe it was just circulating tumor cells in the blood they picked up and not really a cancerous tumor. It's pretty big a oogly though.

Thanks for the prayers:)

Dear Terry, it's great to know that tumour is drying up and shrinking....damn thing, it's unbelieveable how the CC has done this to you...I loathe and despise this disease. God speed on your healing journey Terry, the chemo is working!!

There's not much info on the web about mets from cr cancer to the nose, what I did find isn't good. There was a 52 y.o. female (I'm 51) in 2008 and she died 3 months after diagnosis. She only had radiation, no chemo and it was also spread to the brain which according to them mind is not.

SCAREY!

I'm ready if that's the case. The Lord has kept me here for Holly until she can handle it. Our church family and our famiy will help Troy and the kids through. Shana (my oldest) is strong and will be O.K. and help too. I think when the Lord knows I'm suffering he'll take me and I'll be O.K. with that.

What else is there to do. I'm still fighting, until my last breath I will fight.

Terry wrote:Thanks Bill Lilb for fixing my avatar for me:) I was about 36 there. Advice to those that smoke don't want until your in your 50's you get those ugly lines around the mouth which you can see in the picture of my nose tumor. Ugly! I've been quit for a while and they ain't going no where! So don't do it if possible.

Thanks again Bill!:)

Wow...that's quite interesting Terry. I bet it feels good to be able to see direct confirmation that chemo is working!

As for the pic, any problem Terry! They are easy to do!

Thanks for the PSA too! I have been trying to share my new line in this respect: Quit early and quit often! I never smoked myself, and it always turns me off when folks I know and care about, even strangers, smoke. I don't like others polluting my air. . . makes me want to load up on eggs cabbage and whatever else will make me gassy and rank so I can go upwind from a smoker at the store entrances and share with them an example of how inconsiderate they are being.

But that would be evil, wouldn't it? Really what I wonder is if there is anything anyone could have heard when they were young to have avoided taking up smoking in the first place

I'm always glad to hear about folks successfully stopping. I have a few friends also sworn off drinking too recently. We'll see how that goes to. I really know nothing about supporting folks in these things!

But back to you Terry, you are quite the fighter. You are one of my inspirations actually in terms of more and more treatments being available. . . with my recurrence, I really was having trouble with seeing that I had any real options. . . even though I just started my new journey. I do thank you as one of the folks who shares how much hope and room there can be even as this disease progresses.

Wishing you the best Terry.

I'm no expert on tumors but I think the vascular parts look lighter and while it does look a little more spread out, it also
looks somewhat deflated. Let's hope it's cells are dying rapidly.

Light and prayers to you.

Terry,

Very weird that it got into you nose... but really hoping Folfox will kick the crap out of it.

At least (however gross it is) you have a fairly easy way of seeing (and feeling) if the Folfox is helping.

All the best,

I thought it looked less vacscular too. I would think that's a good thing, but what do I know. All I know is it scares me, I'm afraid it' going to go to the brain. Only thing good about that is that I'll probably go into a coma, hopefully, pretty quick or not know what's going on. Hard for my family though.

The only reason I'm posting is so you guys can help me judge what you think it's doing (larger, smaller, less or more vascular, whatever).

Thanks all!j

OH AND JUST AN FYI, it is VERY, VERY, VERY rare for it to go to the nose so don't worry. I can only find one person on the inet that's even had this. Leave it to me to be one of the lucky one  s

Terry it may look a little bigger? But the color has changed. Probably for the good)
What did the Doctor say about it?

As close as it is to the 'Outside' it may be moving out?
Be on the guard for that as you may need to take it to the Doctors for an exam.

(they told me I might lose my rectal tumor before the treatment was finished, but I didn't).

Hopefully the Chemo is doing what it is suppsose to do.

I wish you the very best and keep us posted.
