My beautiful, amazing mother passed away this morning at 630 am.
I don't know what else to add. I'm angry, sad and numb. But I am very greatful that the end didn't last long, and it gave us time to say our goodbyes, make arrangements, and for my mom to see all the people she has loved in the world and say her goodbyes.
I am disapointed that we weren't called in enough time to be able to help my mom go. The nurses told my sister that she had plenty of time to call us. And my sister had not done her research and did not realize that we should be called and that mom could go in an hour, or 24 hours.
So for all you caregivers out there, please make sure that you and any support people are as knowledgeable about the signs of moving on, as you are about the fight against cancer.
For anyone who wants to know, please pm me.
