They handed me a disk of my scans after my last CT and I stuck it on a shelf at home because I really didn't want to look at and get freaked out before getting the results from my doctor. And then, when the results looked kind of bad, I didn't really want to look at them, either. Now, with news that whatever that thing is on my lung, it's probably not a tumor, I finally decided to relax and check out the pics.
Pretty cool. My understanding of anatomy is pretty rudimentary, but clicking through the hundreds of image slides is fascinating. After awhile, it's easier to pick out individual organs. The bones look pretty neat as well.
One question: Where's my penis? It's not like I expected it to dominate the scans (though that would be nice), but it's not even visible. Glad the tech was a guy.
