. Had a lot of fun with my oncologist and the staff. I showed up wearing my graduation hat (whatever they call those square capped things) and robes cause I figured I might as well not dissapoint them and make the scene they know I'm capable of. Mom (breast cancer survivor treated there too) showed up and brought lunch for the entire staff and gave my onc a little personal gift as well. As usual they were so nice and appreciative. And when they brought the pump out, they all came out at the same time humming "Trumpet Voluntary" and carrying a diploma along with them, it was so cool. Big hugs from all and wishes that I'd never need to sit in one of those chairs again. Now we just pray that they're right.Moving forward, Doc scheduled my PET for the 6th of July, HIPEC consult and then followup with my onc will both be on the 12th. He also finally took me off the injectible Fragmin, no more making my belly sore
. So for the next few days when the side effects creep up, I can laugh at them, knowing they'll be over for the forseeable future. Counting down the hours till the pump comes off, about 11am Friday. I think Kelly and I may have a little tear session when she pulls that needle out and stuffs it in the sharps container.And a shout goes out to all my chemo buddies out there. There's nothing mystical about me, and if I can get through it, so can you. Wishing eveyone out there goin through it strength and health
