It is something derived from seaweed. Wikopedia says something about studies into it's uses but only lists 3 sources and I would question those. It must be remembered that several "Natural" products are marketed for many cures, it must also be mentioned that the FDA does NOT REQUIRE that these types of products be proven safe or effective. Always be cautious of some one trying to sell you something and stating that their research has proven it effective. People will lie to make money off of people looking for any cure availabe. That being said can it do any harm? I try to only point out the problems with a product or aspects that may not be know to the general public ( I am a pharmacist and am by nature and traing skepical of cure alls ) If you feel it can do no harm go ahead and try it but please let your oncologist know if you are taking it.
