Can I use a colonic for prep?

Postby 1seeker » Sun Dec 31, 2006 6:12 pm

Has anyone used a colonic irragation to prep for a colonoscopy? There are no wretched side effects or bad taste, but I don't know if it would work properly. There must be a reason people don't use them. Does anyone know?

Colonic

The colonic might be okay for the lower third of the colon, but it's not going to be sufficient to clean out all the way to the ascending colon, where, incidentally my own tumor was located. Better to put up with the bad taste for a few short minutes. It's really comical to watch me prep for a colonoscopy. I spend a lot of time looking at myself in the bathroom mirror, talking out loud to myself as I build up the courage to drink the old phospho soda. Best wishes for your test.

Happy and healthy 2007,
Terry
