Let me also wish you happy birthday! I remember when I was diagnosed 3 years ago (just a few months shy of my 50th) I was pretty sure I would make it to that birthday but wondered about all the others! Like you, I also wanted to see my last graduate from high school which I joyfully did in June. Yesterday, I celebrated my 31st wedding anniversary by watching my husband and youngest drive out, car packed off to college. I will join them in a few days (I'm flying in tomorrow and spending some quality time with my girlfriend sightseeing in Santa Fe before driving down to the college). I've also seen one son marry, expect to be around for the first grandbaby - whenever that might be - and plan on heading back to NM Tech again in 4 years to watch Erik receive his diploma!
To all those out there just starting or feeling overwhelmed - keep on the same path - one day at a time and don't give up hope.
