Hello Nash123 -

If you do in fact have internal hemorrhoids, then the best solution would be to talk to your doctor and review the solutions that might apply to your type of hemorrhoid. Your doctor would be the one who understands your situation the best and who has access to your medical history file.

If you are not able to talk to your doctor right away, then you might be able to get some useful information on the Internet from hospitals that specialize in treating hemorrhoidal disorders, for example:

Harvard Medical School
.......
Mayo Clinic
......
Cleveland Clinic

But before you try home treatments, proper diagnosis is critical. “It’s important to see your doctor for bleeding, especially if you have never had hemorrhoids before,” Dr., Zutshi says.

Here are seven possible home treatments for hemorrhoids:

How you can treat or prevent piles
  • Do
    • drink lots of fluid and eat plenty of fibre to keep your poo soft
    • wipe your bottom with damp toilet paper
    • take paracetamol if piles hurt
    • take a warm bath to ease itching and pain
    • use an ice pack wrapped in a towel to ease discomfort
    • gently push a pile back inside
    • keep your bottom clean and dry
    • exercise regularly
    • cut down on alcohol and caffeine (like tea, coffee and cola) to avoid constipation
  • Don’t
    • do not wipe your bottom too hard after you poo
    • do not ignore the urge to poo
    • do not push too hard when pooing
    • do not take painkillers that contain codeine, as they cause constipation
    • do not take ibuprofen if your piles are bleeding
    • do not spend more time than you need to on the toilet
