Thank you! My 17 year old son and I are flying business to UK. Never done that before. My son’s dream was to fly business. So we are doing it. We are both EU citizens. So we know, we will get in EU. Missing my daughter who is in college. She is pre med, planning on medical school. Another Disney park today. Walked for 12 hours yesterday. Exhausted but happy. Ended the day with pizza and bottle of red wine. I have followed your mom’s journey. So happy for her and your family!

That's the attitude! I love it! Where in Europe? Tickets for the summer are cheap right now, like $750 for a round trip from our tiny Montana airport to Geneva. I'm waiting for DH's onc visit on Monday, but I'll likely book us tickets for late June.

That’s wonderful! I believe Europe should be open. Switzerland is beautiful. If you go, please go to the Swiss Alps. So beautiful. I am in travel business. Most will be vaccinated. I am vaccinated for covid. Hoping my son can get the vaccine before our trip. We will be in Prague, Czech Republic. We just remodeled a dream place in the city center. We will be also heading to the mountains. I booked another flight to Austria during Christmas. And following Christmas New Zealand. Most airlines will let you cancel and get credit, if you can’t travel. Good luck to you and your husband!!!

Saltygirl I’m French, from a small town about 40 miles from Geneva - we have a family house in the mountains we typically visit every summer but couldn’t last year because of Covid, so looking forward to this coming summer !

I visited Prague right after the fall of the Berlin Wall, when it still very much felt like the Soviet block - especially since it was in winter. I’ve wonderful memories of it! The old Jewish cemetery, the bridges, the beer

We had a wonderful vacation some years ago first in Chamonix, then in the German-speaking parts of Switzerland. (We do not speak French but still remember some German from college days.) But we flew in and out of Geneva and saw the flower clock and the water jet, though honestly they didn't seem that thrilling. We could not go anywhere, pandemic or no, last summer because he was on folfox, then had surgery. He will be doing folfiri all summer now so no travel possible again this year regardless of vaccination status. And he has not even gotten an invitation to make an appointment for a first shot yet (and I will be even further behind). Hawaii is fabulous, have a great time. Been to Big Island, Maui, and Kauai.
