Thanks for all the encouragement all, overall I’m doing really well! I have some LARS from the rectal surgery, but I think I’m ‘lucky’ in that it’s relatively minor compared to what many people go through. I can mainly control it with Imodium, fasting, diet, and enemas if I have to. I still have bad days, but they’re probably once every few weeks now (rather than every few days), so I can live with that!
My energy levels still aren’t quite what they used to be, but that could also be because I’m three years older now too, lol. I’m working full time quite happily, and being able to do some work from home (due to Covid) has been a hidden blessing as well - particularly in the early LARS period. The more I live, work and exercise, the better I feel - so time to get on that!
