Hi all,
I wasn’t going to post anything for this, but I remembered how much hope posts like this gave me when I was starting out. I used to screencap them and save them in my favourites to read when I was feeling hopeless.
Well, yesterday I got the news that my 1 year CT scan was all clear. This follows a year of CTs, PETs, MRIs and scopes, after my 2nd liver resection in Dec 2019 (the final step in 14 months of treatment for stage IV rectal cancer with liver mets, other than my ileostomy reversal in Feb this year). I know 1 year is still early days in cancer terms, but I’m pretty damn grateful to be where I am - and you can’t get to 5 years (and beyond) without going through the others first!
Hope you guys are doing well out there. Best of luck.
Rob
