A little late in the day but...better late than never!

2020 sure has been a WEIRD year.....one that I wish would go away and never come back. However, on this Thanksgiving Day, I am thankful for many things...my family, my friends and right now, I am thankful that I have not caught COVID. Yes, that may sound weird, but I am truly thankful for that. I wasn't sure I wanted to see this Thanksgiving come around what with all the restrictions, etc. but I'm glad it did. I got to visit with two of my sons and learn that I'm going to be a Mimi (grandma) again.

So, when we think that everything is against us...let's remember that we DO have things to be thankful for. I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving no matter who you did or didn't celebrate it with this year.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Yes - I had a very nice Thanksgiving holiday with my dearly departed wife's sister and her husband. I am grateful that they still include me as a member of the family especially seeing as I am dating another woman now who happens to be a breast cancer survivor (a mutual friend introduced us). Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 issue - I was not able to see my two nieces and their families as they decided to keep to themselves this holiday and not travel to their parents homes. I hope that they will change their minds come Christmas. Since I work from home I don't have much contact with anyone except my new GF/SO once a week or so. Makes for a lonely life. But the three of us had a fabulous meal. I made the pumpkin pies, banana bread, 7 layer salad, brought the wine and my sister in-law cooked the turkey etc. We pigged out and watched football afterwards. I am about to start to make home made beef barley soup for diner with my GF this weekend.

Happy Holidays to all. Tis the season.

Yes, best wishes to you both !

We had ours, north of 49, last month
and like you, did a slightly altered version.

I went solo to be with my mother beforehand, then did a small in-house with one set of kids / grandkids one day,
and the other kid/partner the next !

Lotsa' food and fun ... AND keepin' COVID safe along the way.

it IS what it IS
and WE ... keep on, keepin' ON !

Thanksgiving Cheers and Harmony to all south of 49 !
Giving Thanks, and still on the Journey

We ate too much. We drank too much. It was perfect. I hope to be around for a lot more turkey days! No. I WILL be around for a lot more.
