Wow, this is amazing. Congratulations! I like to think there is hope. Do you have any words of wisdom? Were there any things that you did that you feel prevented a recurrence?

It appears that you just joined... and your first post was to bring hope to the rest of us. This kindness is appreciated, and did not go unnoticed. I hope you see these responses and know that for me and probably others, your post was just what was needed.

This post makes me smile. I am five years and a month and a half from my Oligometastatic colon cancer spread to my one ovary. I had my five year scan on October 22 and have had a hellish month where I was told I had another metastasis and a new cancer. After a CT, ultrasound and exam, I had surgery scheduled to remove the new Metastasis and new cancer. I really did not trust the new oncologist/surgeon after a biopsy showed no cancer on the alleged "new cancer" and asked my regular oncologist if I could get an MRI to double check what was happening. I got a pelvic MRI yesterday and learned I have a benign hemorrhagic cyst on my ovary and not the "99% sure it is cancer" that the surgeon told me. So, I am rambling and should say I am cancer free, extremely healthy and active and very grateful this was not cancer and spent the day canceling surgery and appointments I no longer need! It reminded me of the days when I was not so lucky 5 plus years ago. Hang in there. And, always trust your gut and question your doctors. They are not always right so ask for the less invasive test if you think you need it and question things that do not make sense. Just my opinion for what it is worth!

Hey, Chris. Great news, well cone. I was also diagnosed as stage IV B (local spread). Two years later, still going strong, after chemo and two major ops. Keep up the good work!

Congrats Chris!
I'm just a dude who still can't believe he had a resection and went through chemo (currently 13 years NED). Is this real life?
