Jill, your family has been heavy in my thoughts and prayers for a few days. Your husband and my son share the same birthday. I hope you are finding people and ways to help you cope right now. Please let us know how you are doing when you feel like it. In the meantime just know I am thinking of you.

I have not logged in for a bit due to Covid19, work and kid priorities. I am sorry to read of your loss Jepp, We all know this disease is brutal, but at least here we are among friends who have encountered similar circumstances and hardships. You were not alone in your husband's fight or in your family's current grief. The one thing I have learned from a metastatic diagnosis is that although the road has been difficult, it has prepared us well with perseverance, hope, and effort for better outcomes and appreciating life in general. The lessons learned in this journey are instrumental for survivors of those who have passed too. This game of life is too short to squander in isolation and darkness. I hope that your husband's memory is always present as you focus on the current and make memories with all that currently surrounds you. Kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews may be the cure to any broken heart... They always seem to refresh those who are recovering from difficult loss. The gift of youth around us is sometimes the hidden therapy we all can use during difficult times.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Jepp. Please let us know how you are doing as things begin to settle. We are here for you. With deepest felt sympathy. WS
