There was never enough good news when I was enduring surgeries and FOLFOX so I thought I'd drop by and say hello! My fight was strengthened here in this forum where I learned I wasn't alone. I wasn't much of a poster, mostly a reader, butt still I met survivors and caregivers who knew what I was going through. I gained confidence in my battle.
There were dark moments during that awful year. Many times I would rather have died than make another run to the bathroom. The end was nowhere in sight. It seemed that maybe I should have taken leave from work. I wasn't sure how long I could stay strong.
Here in the forum I learned I didn't have to stay strong very long. I just had to get through today. That was more workable. One day at a time.
Six years later, clear of any disease, I am strong and energetic again. I carry scars, butt they only make me unique.
To all of you I wish the best. Keep your attitude positive.
