Sarah DeBord

Postby brokenwings » Sun Jul 26, 2020 5:19 am

Sarah DeBord has left us. I don't know if she was active here (I've never seen her posting here...) but she was certainly a major advocate working for the CCA and Colontown...
She was definitely a familiar face in the CRC world and a great blogger...
The CCA posted this beautiful tribute on Facebook:

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_ ... 4618074710.

I didn't know her personally but I followed her blog and her experience with clinical trials... Unfortunately, once again, when SOC stopped working... she didn't have much time left.

I'm brokenhearted for her and her two boys...

I think we will all share sincere sympathies with her friends, family and fellow CRC warriors along this Journey.
She will be missed by many and her advocacy and work need to be continued.

I was saddened yesterday to hear of her passing. She spoke at one of the survivor events for Get Your Rear in Gear. Sarah was an inspiration and advocate. She will be missed. My condolences to her family.

Went in for surgery for a cyst on my bladder, and they found colon cancer growing on the outside of the colon. Got to have two surgeries at the same time! Stage 3, one node involved.
