For those who have had HAI pump .. I have a question

Postby Monimom » Tue Jul 14, 2020 6:34 pm

Hi, although we've not been in contact with MSK yet I have been wondering about the pump ... my husband has several liver mets.. no further spread, would the fact that his colon has not been resected disqualify him ?
Thank you

No it would not. They very commonly place the pump and do a colon resection at the same time. That’s what I did. And then we followed with two liver resections.

Good Luck! It sounds like perfect candidate for HAI. I met Dr. Kemeny in August 2015 with 10+ liver mets, no further spread. I am doing well, NED off chemo since 05/2016.
mom of now 14 years old twins, dx @ 40 in 6/2015 with upper rectal cancer, 10+ liver mets, CEA 140
chemo: 8/2015 - 10/2016 - 4xFOLFIRINOX, 2xFOLFOX, 8xFOLFIRI, 10x5FU, HAI pump -12xFUDR
4 surgeries, complete pathological response
CEA<2 since 10/2015
NED since May 2016

I praise God for every day with my family!
