Complementary opinions

Postby beach sunrise » Fri Jul 03, 2020 5:53 pm

Hi, I have contacted 2 different centers for consults but probably due to covid19 I haven't heard back yet. Contacted Lexington Natural Health Center this morning and they emailed back to set up appt with them Monday. I am excited to get an opinion on cancer and chemo and wondering if anyone else has consulted with them and/or used them as complimentary to chemo?

Were you able to do a consult with them? I am also interested in complementary therapies as I undergo chemo so definitely interested in your thoughts/experience with this practioner. Thanks!

One of my sisters speaks highly of Lexington (she lives in the town where they are located). She has two close friends that had stage 4 cancer (not CRC but I don't remember the types) and they were alive longer and doing better than expected. She mentioned them to me in 2017 - I have not asked about her two friends since then. Oncologists are more about the treatments and less about nutrition. There was a guy at Dana Farber that did this kind of work as well but he became head of Yale's Oncology Department and moved away.

So you're getting a third-hand recommendation from me.

Hi beach sunrise,

Wanted to let you know that after reading your initial messages, I went ahead and contacted Lexington Natural Health for an appointment. Looks like I got in ahead of you (I was there yesterday). I had a phone consult a couple of days before that and my main purpose in coming in was to have blood drawn for specialized labs. I also did labwork for tests that could be done at LabCorp near me and some results were ready so we went through those. He also started me on some supplements. Overall I thought the office staff were very nice and the doctor very knowledgable. He treats all sorts of conditons but said that 95% of the people coming through the door are dealing with cancer and that he has a real passion for it. He is a long term cancer survivor himself.

Thanks,
Rachel
