I just wanted to comment on the whole wound closure routine.
I had an open ULAR in Jan and was totally expecting either stitches staples or glue.
Totally surprised when I woke up to internal stitches so didn’t need to do a thing.
So when I had my ileostomy take down questioned the surgeon straight away as to what type of closure. Again internal stitches - what a blessing.
I also giggled about the bikini comments - I have a t-junction of scars on my belly. Caesarean & open ULAR. Definitely no bikini here
