Hi everyone

Postby Trying » Sun Jun 21, 2020 4:33 pm

Hi everyone,

I havent posted in a long while. I hope everyone of you are well. An update on me: my scan 2 scans ago had shown some growth so they put me back on oxy. My last scan showed quite a few shrunken lymph nodes but my damn met grew 2mm again! Dr was still happy about it though I had hoped for more. I've started infared saunas. I'm getting emotional support that I need although I still have days like today when I think " oh my goodness its been over 2 years and I'm still on chemo. Others are better by now" i have to remind myself that Everyone's journey is different. I still think of you all and hope for health for all of you. Still praying every night to raise my boy to a man.

As long as Dr is happy - we're in the same boat, DH was basically diagnosed same time as you, he's been through a lot already but onc is not too worried for now. I've had friends say, "gee you guys have been dealing with this for a long time!" and I know they mean well but I want to say, it's not a broken leg, it will likely be with us for ever (on and off, hopefully). Hang in there and keep fighting, there's so much research going on into CRC treatment right now, I'm optimistic there's a cure right around the corner!

Any discussion of treating the met directly with surgery/ablation/et al? I know it might not be "curative," but since it is the only thing not responding to chemo....
