I had my 6 month scans and follow up visit today at Mayo Rochester. I can not tell you how much I like doing everything in one day! All blood work, mri, and CT were “unremarkable”! We even talked of going to 1 year for scans possibly after the next 6 month check in.
I was not sure I would make it to 3 years since diagnosis but I did.
So thankful,

April 2018 colon cancer stage IV 10 liver mets and peri met. Folfox and 12 rounds oxyplatin
Fec 2018 Down to 2 mets in liver. 8 dissapeared
July 2019 switched to xeloda pills as I prefer to 3 day infusion. Also on avistan
Oct 2019 emergency colostomy due to perforated bowel. ( unreal pain)
Feb 2020 show 2mm tumor increase.
Plan to go back on oxy
Oxy failed- irinotecan as of of Sept 2020

Guess what—my mom got great news on her most recent scans as well—everything looked clear and CEA dropped.
I am so thankful.
But even crazier, due to COVID, her surveillance was pushed back and rescheduled to June 17th so you guys were at Mayo on the same day!!!

I am so glad for your Mom’s good news! I would have loved to have met her. We started at 6:30 and were done with scans by 10 and didn’t see the Dr. until 2:30 so would have had time!
