Scan Day

Postby Koreysue » Wed Jun 17, 2020 6:52 pm

Hi guys, just coming on to share that I got a scan and results are in- NED...all smiles from me right now.
I had a reaction to the IV contrast last time (that had never happened before), so they have me all hopped up on steroids as a prevention. I’m gonna try to get extra chores done while I ride his extra energy wave :D
Love to all,
Ksue

HEY keep that permanent reservation in NEDSville !!!!!
Congrats !!!!!

YES the dexamethasone is a bit of a beatch. In fact I wrote a whole blog/topic while on/off it during my treatments.
Hi I'm FOLFOX...how do you like me so far ?

I ended up decreasing the dose a lot because I had the Doc's OK and no issues with reactions or nausea.

Cheers and Harmony

Congratulations! :) I'm sorry you had a reaction to the contrast!*hugs* I get anaphylaxis from the contrast so I always have to have prednisone and Benadryl before scans to prevent a reaction.
