Dr. K patients-what’s the plan?

Just curious what all of you Dr. K patients are hearing about your appointments and scans. We just heard they may not be in clinic by mid June which is DH’s rescheduled appt time. He last saw her March 3rd. He’s almost 3 months post lung resection and adrenal ablation. He got orders to get local scans and then send them to MSK. But they also haven’t cancelled those mid June appts. Gonna call tomorrow but wanted to see what everyone else was hearing.

Last week they called to ask me to book my scans locally and then have a telemedicine conference with Dr K. I’m in active chemo treatment right now, and I wish I felt better about the coordination between MSK and my local center, Northwestern. I think things will be ok, but I will feel a lot better once Dr K is back on the scene!

That’s the plan for DH too. Not sure I have the most faith in the local scan part. They missed his lung met and adrenal met last time. Hoping we can get back to NYC in August.

My scans got rescheduled from April to June 21/22. I had last scans in November... So weird...

Additionally, my husband got furloughed and only God knows, how long we will keep the insurance, and when he gets another job with decent benefits. Is it safe to even go to NY?...

I am so sorry about your husbands job! This is just one more worry, isn't it? I heard DR. K is out the 18th-30th. So DH is having his telemedicine the 30th. His scans were last week and i guess they look ok. Honestly, they missed stuff here locally last time so I will feel better when the MSKCC radiologists give the thumbs up. I mean, he had his adrenal met ablated and they didn't even mention that on either report.
