Hi all,

Last scan showed the tumor are increasing in size at peritoneal and perirectal, also new nodules are seen at right lung and increasing at left lung. Any one has same issue like this and if yes what chemo are you taking on this, however I am allergy to Oxi and xeloda is not working for me. I am wondering which chemo can be used, doc told that he can use folfixi. I am very much worried, is this be treatable condition or not. Can you please share your experiences?

I'm sorry this is happening Suniva... My husband did Folfiri + Avastin and that seemed to take care of his lung nodules. Like you he's refractory to Oxaliplatin. Folfiri is a good choice for second-line chemo!

Hi,
I had everything you mention The perineal was taken care of during surgery and the lung Mets given irinotecan and fu-5 was on oxaliplatin.

I was allergic to oxaliplatn while on it nodules didn’t grow but they didn’t shrink. Although for 3 weeks not given oxaliplatin. Just given fu5 and grew up to two centimeters

Waiting for April for ct scan. Now taking nothing have to have gallblader removed go tomorrow surgeon on Wed find out when operation

Thank you for reply, my husband started his treatment again with Folfiri + cetuximab, provided cetuximab, Irinotecan + leucovorin as infusion and 5FU for 46 hrs taken at home by pump.

While taking chemo did you face any tireness, or fatigue. like my husband just laid down and close his eyes after his infusion, like he got it on last friday march 20, and he is sleepy, feeling tired and laying on the bed. Though he was very active person during recovery period from surgery also he used to move actively here and there. But after this first cycle it make his very tired and weak. Do you any feel same while on that chemo?
Thank you
Suniva

Although I've never been on Folfiri, I, like just about everyone else, had intense cyclical fatigue while on Folfox. Eventually, around round 8, the fatigue seemed to be more general.
