Cure for all cancers with the same treatment?

Postby Ehut » Sat Jan 25, 2020 4:06 pm

I stumbled across this article today and thought it might give hope to some people here. Very early stages of research, but it sounds promising.

Not to be a grinch, but I only get some what excited if a new treatment reaches phase 2 clinical trials. If a treatment is in phase 1 trials, then maybe there's some hope. Until then, any magic bullet is only just some pipe dream. There have been tons of promising "cures" in the news to only fail when human trials begin. What works in a petri dish or lab animals does not translate into success in humans.

FYI
as both radnyc and Ehut had posted separate news releases about this,
I put a reference post into our Ongoing NEWS topic as well, listing the original paper
Immune discovery 'may treat all cancer'

I know this is still at the "mouse" stage... BUTT...
finding a commonality in our immune systems which could target all cancers
IS EXCITING !!!!

Cheers all
