Feeling good, Living Life even tho Stage 4

Postby Cured » Sat Jan 25, 2020 2:15 pm

I appreciate the Club and those who comment and encourage here!
I just saw my Medical Onc and he is OK (for now) without me on Chemo, even though there are specs of cancer in my lung (largest measures 2.0x1.8cm)
I feel good and have nice lung capacity. All of my blood markers are normal, so I can visit people in the hospitals as well as work without worrying about my defenses being low.

I believe God is granting me many more years and that prayers are healing.
I continue drinking Green tea and taking a Tumeric/Black Pepper capsule daily as I have for years.
I have been in a Ketogenic state for 17 months now. I believe this made it easier to endure chemo, and there seems to be clinical confirmation that it does.
By staying in Ketosis I hope to starve the remaining cancer. We wait for human clinical studies to confirm that this works. So far animal studies are encouraging, as are studies of human tissue. Currently I eat One Meal a Day (most of the time) to allow my body to efficiently burn fat/ketones. Most Americans consume sugar and carbs thus becoming glucose dependent. It is amazing that I hardly get hungry throughout the day.

My medical Onc will monitor my CEA (now 2.2) and blood while ordering regular scans to make sure the cancer stays restrained.
I must continue to pray to Christ for healing and for his mercy to others.
