Very scared - would love feedback re mucus

Hi everyone
I apologise for being so worried. I know people deal with much more than me. I had a colonoscopy 2 years ago and they found a sessile serrated polyp. Mild dysplasia. Just the one. This week, I had a bout of diorreah. Pain on eating and having to go to toilet soon as I eat. It seemed to get a bit better. I thought it could be a virus as I had yellow diorreah etc. A week later today, I passed more normal brown stool but seperate to the stool was two round pieces of rubbery mucus. Completely seperate from stool and quite large. I’ve had mucus with stool before but not seperate ‘balls’ than are rubbery and largish. I’m scared it’s a colon cancer symptom. I’m 37 and have real anxiety over it all. Appreciate any comments more than I can say.

Could it be gall stones that you passed?

I would see your Dr. It sounds more like gall bladder issues than colon cancer to to me but I am not a Dr. so take that for what it is worth.

We aren’t doctors. You need to address any concerns with your doctor. Good luck.

Sounds to me like you should make an appointment with your doctor. As anyone with access to a search engine can tell you, mucus in stool is normal, but usually not visible. There are many reasons for changes in bowel habits and many reasons for changes in visible mucus in stool. If you are really worried by this, taking it to your PCP makes sense.

Even if you were to find someone here who had the same symptom, there would be no guarantee that it had the same cause.
