So 2 weeks post op and the surgical report was given to me goodness knows i tried reading it and comprehending all of it. The surgeons were... are fine with everything. Out of 32 nodes they harvested only 2 came back with cancer and assured us they got everything out of the colon.

Thoughts?

I had 1 out of 25 positive. My oncologist said 1 is better than 25 out of 25 and not as good as 0 out of 25. Thanks Captain obvious. He stressed that 25 was a lot of lymph nodes so feel confident that they got it all and that it wasn't a bunch of them that were positive.

I think the same holds true for you guys. 2 isn't that many and they took out a ton of them so I would say it is a good thing!

Hope this helps,

Dave

I had two of 17. Stage 3b? Chemotherapy for 3-6 months to hopefully clean up any stray cancer. Stay strong.

I had 1 out of 27 after my rectal surgery. I was stressed about it for a while then he reminded me that the 1 was now sitting on a pathology table somewhere where it can’t hurt anyone :D
