Psyllium is really quite tasteless. If it tastes like anything, it's probably wheat.

Nocturnal diarrhea is one of the less common side-effects listed for Capecitabine (Xeloda). I had it and think I used Immodium to 'calm" it down when I did.
I hope he finds some relief to his problem.

Thank you! I am following everyone’s input —

1- Imodium but proactively, rather than reactively. One before each meal.
2- Buscopan in the morning and with Imodium right before bed.
3- trying to incorporate more soluble fiber and added chia seeds. I’ve also ordered psyllium husk which will arrive today.

He has another cycle tomorrow. I hope he goes through it with minimal side effects.

Sending you lots of good thoughts Siti! I know the feeling of dreading chemo and its side effects all too well.

Jesper has had cramping and diarrhea today too, three days after his first FOLFOX. Nothing like your husband has been going through, though. I gave him a glass of water with a teaspoon of psyllium husks in it and he said it helped. He is also taking Rick Simpson oil, which is helping him sleep. He slept 11 hours on his first chemo night, as opposed to his usual 3 hours on the first night. I'm happy for anything that helps him sleep!

Best wishes to you and your husband.
