I am new and not sure how to post or reply etc. What I do know is that I need help. I need to talk and find some guidance.
I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in October 2018. Had a right hemi colectomy in the same month to remove the tumor. Started chemo in November 2018 and finished 8 rounds by April 2019. Went for another round of scans in April and several spots were found in peritoneum. Now Stage 4. Did another 4 round of chemo to contain the growth. Finished September 2019. Scans again and found the spots grew with a few mm. Not good news but we were managing. Now last week I go for a colonoscopy. Doc finds a mass in the rectum, infiltrating moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma. I am devastated. Through all the MRI, CT scans etc it never showed up. General surgeon and Oncologist is look at options. Which include full surgical removal of what is left of the colon resulting in a stoma/bag. Or more chemo including biological drugs.
Has someone gone through similar experiences. Any words of advise or anything that can help.
