Fellow LARS-ites, Can we talk gas?!

Postby Gravelyguy » Wed Nov 06, 2019 11:31 am

Hi Everyone,

So I have things dialed in pretty well, as long as I stay out of my kid's Halloween candy stash, all that is except in the late afternoons and evenings I get gassy.

Just wondering if anyone has anything that they use that works? I have tried simethicone tablets a couple of times but I don't think they do anything.I took 2, maybe I needed to take more?

Thanks for your help!

I wish I knew something that would prevent gas. I always get a lot of bloating, gas and cramping. Heat, massage and walking around sometimes help me. The medications don't help me either. I hope you can find something that will help.*hugs*

The only thing that I've found that works is fasting. But it has obvious limitations.

Not sure if it will help in your situation but when I had the blockage I would get gas and pain in my stomach. Eating blue berries worked well. It worked almost immediately.

Thanks Mike,

For sure there are certain foods that make it worse. The unfortunate part is I like those foods and keep thinking "maybe this time it will be different". Even when I don't try to eat foods that set off the gas, I have a certain amount of issues.

Thanks Martyd,

Interesting, I like blueberries so maybe I will give it a try.
