On clinical trails

Postby Butt » Thu Oct 31, 2019 4:38 pm

For those of you who have recently participated in clinical trails (I am stage 4) did you get positive results?
If so, can you please share your results, a number of a trail and a location where you went.
Thank you.
Butt.

I have stage 4 with mets to lungs/ liver and participated in a clinical trial in late July - early August. The trial consisted of two weeks of TAS-102 (brand name Lonsurf) combined with SBRT photon radiation therapy. I’ve only had one scan but so far the result is positive. The radiation was focused on my liver and the scan post trial showed no growth (the tumor had tripled in size between April and early July). I have a follow up scan this weekend so if there are more positive results I’ll post an update if you’d like. This was at Massachusetts General Hospital and the trial number is NCT03223779.
