prolapsed rectum

Anyone experience this after there LAR surgery? It has happened to my husband. Of course, he was stubborn and never told dr about it. Now he's scheduled for his reversal surgery and finally decided to tell drs. about this situation. If this has happened to anyone, I would love to hear of your experience.

Here is an article that may be of interest. If surgery (proctopexy) is being considered for this condition, then when would it be done? Before reversal surgery? After reversal surgery? Along with reversal surgery? What does the doctor say?
