My wife is still going five years into a Stage IV diagnosis with peri-mets. Stay on top of it. Visit a major cancer center for guidance and proper protocols based on recent science, evidence and practices. Make sure you have an advocate by your side keeping track of your treatments and keeping up with recent research and practices. Keep being positive and stay in touch if you have questions.
All the best going forward:)

Hey Trying.
I too am hoping to hear positive stories.
Diagnosed 2 months ago with a peri met, laparoscopy found one tumour (about 3cm) three weeks ago. Still waiting to hear for surgical date for CRS/HIPEC.
What do you know about your mets? Are you able to go for Cytoreductive surgery?
Hope you are coping ok.

Lymph node metastasis affects a smaller amount of CRC patients. I want to say about 12% of the cases You can read of other's experiences from past posts by using the search tool under quick links on the top left of the screen. Many have referred themselves as "lymphonians", I believe. Tweak the searches and you can find past threads from lymphonians here on CT. All the best.

A peri met was discovered on the outside of my small intestine in September of 2018. In October I had CRS/HIPEC. They actually ended up skipping the HIPEC portion b/c I was open up for so long just on the CR part. It's been over a year now and nothing else has shown up. As of last month bloodwork and scans are looking good.
