update on my dad and advise?

Hi,
5FU monotherapy didn't work for my dad. Cancers have spread all over his lung, lymph nodes and one on liver. The oncologist will give my dad a regimen of 5FU, avastin and oxaliplatin at 70% for all 3. After 3 months, remove oxaliplatin and stay with 5FU and avastin. So 3 months with 3 chemo follow by 3 months of 2 chemo and repeat.
Any advise on what to look for to see if it works? Or anyone try this 3 combinations?
I hope everyone is doing well !!
Thanks,
Nate.

PET/CT scan
Impression
1. Hypermetabolic adenopathy above and below the diaphragm to include left supraclavicular "Virchow's node," and a dominant mesenteric mass in the right mid abdomen.
2. Bilateral FDG-avid lung parenchymal metastasis.
3. Probable solitary liver parenchymal metastasis in the right hepatic lobe.
4. No FDG-avid osseous lesions.
