DH still has 5 Folfiri/Avastin cycles then another scan on which, hopefully, his adrenal gland met will have shrunk some more (it's about 4.1cm right now). His oncologist likes it "in place" so he can evaluate the efficacy of the treatment on cancer cells that cannot be detected. But he's also talking about the next step - zapping it via radiation. I've done some reading, it seems like a common approach, although surgical removal is also an option. I guess if radiation is the best option, we'll see if our insurance would pay for SBRT, which worked really well for the spinal met.
Anyone out there with adrenal gland met experience?
