So excited, had to share CEA results!!

When I had my primary tumor removed last year, my first ever CEA was 14. It rose steadily over the months to 167 this April and today....it was...

2.3!!!!

42 dx @ 9wks pregnant w/baby #8 8/18
Sigmoid colon resection 9/18
Adenocarcinoma, G2, T3N0M0..or so we thought
KRAS/BRAF wild
Liver biopsy is malignant, stage iv now boys!
Delivered healthy baby 3/19
FOLFOX + Avastin 5/19
CEA 167 to 24 after 4 rounds
Liver resection 8/28/19
NED!! CEA 2.3

Wow, just wonderful news - that's what I like to hear. Sounds like the chemo and the liver resection, really delivered a knock out punch to those damn cancer cells. Congrats!
May 2015 right hemi CC cecum
removed terminal ileum, illeocecal valve, appendix, cecum, ascending colon, omentum
stage 3b T3 N1b MX 2/27 nodes (isolated tumour cells in 1 add'l node)

PNI - positive
LVI - positive
Folfox 12 sessions (without oxi for 11 & 12)
Neulasta with 3-12 due to low WBC count
CEA at diagnosis 8.6
CEA after surgery 1.2
CEA during chemo 4.6 / 3.3 / 2.3
CEA after chemo 1.5 / 1.2 / 1.2 /1.2 /1.2 / 1.4 / 1.1 / 1.2 / 1.9 / 1.3 / 1.6 /1.4 /1.5

If you really want to feel good, plot your various readings on a graph. Visually very appealing!!

Ginabeewell - I do just that with DH's CEA levels. Because he got a big drop at first, a graph "flattens out" the small rises and dips and that helps me not getting too worried by small variations!

6/19 - Neoadjuvant Xeloda with radiation 6 weeks
9/19 - Restorative Proctectomy, J-Pouch Coloanal Anastomosis, Loop Ileostomy with Appendectomy
10/19 - ypT3N2aM0
10/19 - Adenocarcinoma, moderately differentiated. Deep ulcerated 2.0 cm. Stage 3B with 6/22 lymph nodes positive
Next up: 4 months chemo suggested

Yay happy dance! I'm nervous for hubby's surgery I know he will see inevitable crazy number changes but it will all be worth it!
DH dx officially stage IV with liver mets largest 6x6.4 cm
Colonoscopy/endoscopy/port place 5/29
4cm long mass in splenic flexure
1st round FolFox 5/30
08/2018 new CT no new lesions, clear lungs, slight decrease in colon.
3/2019 PET scan shows greater than 6-7 liver mets largest measuring 3x3 cm. No growth nothing new.
4/3/19 consult radiologist for possible radiation treatment.
8/15/19 largest liver lesion 1.9x2.1
9/16/2019 OSU to proceed with surgery implant HAI and colon resection
